International alternative asset manager the Carlyle Group has appointed Sanghyun Lee as managing director. Based in Seoul, Korea, he will head the Korean investment efforts for Carlyle Asia Partners.
Most recently, Lee served at buyout fund manager Affinity Equity Partners as managing director heading the firm’s investment initiative in Korea. Formerly, he was associated with sovereign wealth fund Government of Singapore Investment Corp. and handled its private equity investments in Korea.
