EBRD Lends €123M For Croatia Power Plant

Croatia’s electricity utility Hrvatska Elektroprivreda is getting a syndicated loan worth €123.2 million from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Croatia’s electricity utility Hrvatska Elektroprivreda is getting a syndicated loan worth €123.2 million from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Energy Business Review reports. The credit facility will be used to fund the construction of the Ombla hydro power plant.

The new 68 mega watt hydro power plant will assist Croatia in diversifying its energy sources and also in increasing its energy security. The plant will also boost the supply of drinkable water to the city of Dubrovnik.
