Multi-capability investment boutique Lyrical Partners has hired Michael Flaherman as managing director. Along with this newly created role, he will also work on the investment committee for the New York–based firm’s fund of hedge funds.
Previously, Flaherman was chairman of the investment committee of the largest U.S. pension system California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). He headed the board’s decision-making on all aspects of CalPERS’ investment strategy, including asset allocation and CalPERS’ investment program.
