Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Adds CIO

Oak Brook–based Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund has appointed Dhvani Shah as CIO effective December 19.

Oak Brook–based Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has appointed Dhvani Shah as CIO effective December 19. A chartered financial analyst, she will work along with the pension fund’s board of trustees investment committee to run IMRF’s $25 billion portfolio. She succeeds Walt Koziol, who superannuates on November 30.

Shah is currently working as managing director of private equity for the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System which is the second-largest public retirement system in the state. Earlier, she has also been vice president at Bank of America Corp. and investment analyst/investment risk manager at Northwestern University.
