THIRD TEAM Scott Devitt Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley’s Scott Devitt, who debuts in third place, is a “better analyst than ‘Queen-of-the-Net’ Mary Meeker was in her prime,” insists one fund manager. Devitt upgraded Netflix from neutral to buy in July 2010, at $98.02, applauding the Los Gatos, California–based company’s transition from a DVD-by-mail service to a subscription-based provider of streaming video. In February he downgraded the stock to neutral, primarily on valuation, after it had soared a spectacular 152.6 percent, to $247.55, and shot past the sector by 119.6 percentage points. The stock had slipped 5.1 percent, to $235.01, by the end of August.
