Former global market maker Optiver traders Ivan Koedjikov and Ian Toon have set up a high-frequency trading (HFT) boutique, Financial News reports. They have teamed up with Ben Huda, an ex-Tibra Capital trader, for the venture. Optiver is a Dutch trading house and Tibra part of an Australian group founded by Danny Bhandari.

The new boutique firm Maven Trading, based in London, was incorporated in February. It commenced trading on the London Stock Exchange in September. High-frequency trading firms operate across different markets in a fraction of a second using sophisticated technology, and account for about 40 percent of European trading.
