Skanska, a project development and construction group headquartered in Sweden, has selected Christel Åkerman as senior vice president of risk management. She will take up her new role from November 1 and will report to president and CEO Johan Karlström.
Åkerman replaces Thomas Alm, who is retiring. Most recently, she was with the code of conduct and group staff risk management at Skanska. Since joined it in 1994, she has been working in several markets as a commercial manager for projects in Malta and Colombia and as head of legal affairs Skanska Poland.
