Canadian impact investment asset manager Sarona Asset Management (Sarona AM) has hired Vivina Berla as a senior partner and European managing director (MD). Along with strengthening planning, she will play a specific role in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will be a member of the investment committee.
Previously, she has served at financial management and advisory firm Merrill Lynch & Co. and privately owned hedge fund sponsor Gartmore Investment Management in London for more than 15 years. The Sarona and MicroVest groups of funds that Sarona AM owns or manages represent more than $180 million in assets under management in emerging and developing country markets.
