Mark Wetjen has been appointed a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Mark Wetjen has been appointed a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). He received a unanimous confirmation from the Senate. He is replacing Michael Dunn, who became a commissioner in December 2004, adds Financial Times.

He has been a senior adviser for Senate majority leader Harry Reid for a number of years. He helped draw up and improve all the rules the CFTC had proposed to implement the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
