Fidessa group has expanded its Sydney-based Australian operations. The provider of high-performance trading, investment management and information solutions to the financial world will relocate staff and hire some more for the new office in Sydney. The company has also set up new data centre facilities in Australia to offer its full range of low-latency connectivity, software-as-a-service solutions and other managed and hosted services locally.
Fidessa’s Australian business will be headed by country manager Andrew Metcalfe from Hong Kong, where he was responsible for expanding and managing Fidessa’s Asia-Pacific hosted services division. He will be joined by the company’s head of international sales for Japan James Hardcastle, who will lead sales activities for Australia.
