U.K. international investment manager Skandia Investment Group (SIG) has hired Phil Wagstaff as CEO, Investment Week reports. Wagstaff will succeed Nils Bolmstrand, who became product head at Skandia’s Nordic business in December after a year as CEO. COO Mark Bulstrode had been acting as CEO, pending a permanent replacement.
Wagstaff joins SIG from U.S. investment management business Gartmore Group, where he was global head of distribution and in charge of the distribution of retail, institutional and alternative products in the U.K., Europe and Japan. He has also worked with New Star Asset Management as managing director of U.K. sales and marketing.
