Duke Endowment Gives $11M For Health Care

The Duke Endowment has given a $11.25 million grant to a South Carolina health care group.

The Duke Endowment has given a $11.25 million grant to a South Carolina health care group, The Republic reports. The money will be used by the U.S. health care group, Health Sciences South Carolina, to help researchers collect medical data and improve patient care.

The grant will also help the organization progress in a new strategic direction, concentrating on new products, industries and jobs, adds The State. The Health Science South Carolina was formed to link the work of research universities, including Clemson University, McLeod Health of Florence and the Medical University of South Carolina, and major health systems in the state.
