Financial services provider Barclays has hired Ian Ackerley as its new investments director for U.K. retail business banking, Citywire reports. He will oversee the expansion of consolidated investment services for the bank’s clients and will also assist in managing Barclays’ online investment platform set up in March.
Previously, Ackerley was with U.K. financial services firm Virgin Money as managing director of investments and pensions. He has also worked at AMP U.K. Financial Services as strategy director and at Toronto-based Sun Life International as managing director.
