RBS Hires Head of Futures, Prime Services

U.S. investment bank RBS Securities has appointed Fabian Shey as global head of futures, prime services and electronic markets of its Global Banking and Markets unit.

U.S. investment bank RBS Securities has appointed Fabian Shey as global head of futures, prime services and electronic markets of its Global Banking and Markets (GBM) unit. He will manage all the products and services comprised in the prime services suite, including futures, prime brokerage and OTC derivatives clearing, along with heading electronic markets strategy for Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (Ficc) in GBM.

Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Shey works under Michael Lyublinsky, co-head of GBM Americas and global co-head of Ficc, Peter Rading, global co-head of Ficc, and Brian Reid, global head of Ficc sales, research and strategy. Before joining the banking unit of Stamford-based Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Shey was with Swiss financial services firm UBS.
