Pennsylvania School Awards $600M Mandate

The $51.2 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System has awarded active international fixed income mandates of $300 million each to AllianceBernstein and Strategic Fixed Income.

The $51.2 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System has awarded active international fixed income mandates of $300 million each to AllianceBernstein and Strategic Fixed Income, Pensions & Investments reports. Franklin Templeton, Brandywine Asset Management, Capula Investment Management and ING were the other finalists. Independent investment management firm Wilshire Associates assisted in the search. The system has a target allocation of 3% and 2% for international developed markets fixed income and emerging markets debt and is looking at options for awarding one more $300 million international fixed income mandate.
