New York–based investment fund and consulting firm, Mercer has expanded its investment team in Melbourne, Australia, Financial Standard reports. The firm has appointed Stuart Birkett as senior portfolio manager, who will lead its multi-manager equity portfolios.
Investment and financial services expert Birkett will work under Andrew Howard, CIO for Asia-Pacific. Birkett joined Mercer from investment solution provider Queensland Investment Corp., where he was director of implemented equities and was in charge for running the multi-manager portfolios of the firm’s investments in Australian and global equities.
