TVN May Receive Bid From Time Warner, Vivendi

Media groups Time Warner and Vivendi are expected to place binding bids for a majority stake in Polish broadcaster TVN.

Media groups Time Warner and Vivendi are expected to place binding bids for a majority stake in Polish broadcaster TVN, Reuters reports. The deal is worth more than $800 million. The sale of ITI Group’s 56 percent stake in TVN was launched in July. TVN has a market capitalization of $1.6 billion. Bertelsmann-owned RTL Group was also in the running to buy the stake but opted out.
