Ex-FrontPoint Manager Mulls New Hedge Fund

Hedge fund manager Steve Eisman is planning to float a new fund, Emrys Partners, in January.

Hedge fund manager Steve Eisman is planning to float a new fund, Emrys Partners, in January, San Francisco Chronicle reports, citing Bloomberg. The fund will invest in stocks and bonds across all industries.

Eisman will have as partners for the long-short fund Rocwood Capital Managment’s Jon Kalikow, Goldman Sachs Group’s Ed Cabral and JAT Capital Management’s Mark Weiner. He produced 81 percent returns in 2007 in his Financial Horizons Fund betting against subprime mortgages and most recently was with Connecticut-based FrontPoint Partners, which he left earlier this year.
