Global investment management firm Baring Asset Management (AM) has recruited John Burns as COO, Financial Times reports. He will assume the new role from John Misselbrook, who is stepping down at the end of the year.
Burns will manage information technology, compliance, organizational risk, business services and change management at Barings, adds Money Marketing. Most recently, he was COO at Almaty, Kazakhstan–based investment bank Visor Capital.
