Asia’s largest regional asset manager Nikko Asset Management is planning to roll out Asian and emerging market fixed-income vehicles out of Singapore.
Asia’s largest regional asset manager Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) is planning to roll out Asian and emerging market (EM) fixed-income (FI) vehicles out of Singapore, Asian Investor reports. This follows its acquisition of investment management solution provider DBS Asset Management.
The firm is looking to form a wider fixed-income suite, is looking to tap the growing interest in portfolio management and fixed income among the aging populations in Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The firm, with more than $165 billion in assets under management, is also doubling the size of its Hong Kong team by transferring its six fund managers from Tokyo to its office in Hong Kong.
