WSU Gets $27M Washington TFRC Grant

The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission has given a total of $27 million to Washington State University.

The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission (Washington TFRC) has given a total of $27 million to Washington State University (WSU), Imtribune.com reports. The endowment will be financed by doubling the regular assessment from tree fruit growers who are members of the commission. The grant will yield more than $3 million in annual research funding. The funds will be used for the research and development of tree fruits in Washington, adds KVEW.
