S&P Picks Top Five ETFs For 2011

Standard and Poor’s has chosen just five exchange-traded funds for its top two rankings.

Standard and Poor’s (S&P) has chosen just five exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for its top two rankings, IFA Online reports. S&P, which evaluated more than 100 equity ETFs from the 191 ETFs rolled out in the year to early August, awarded the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund and the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio top ranking of overweight.

The second-highest ranking by market weight is presently awarded to the Schwab US Reit ETF, iShares High Dividend Equity Fund and Schwab US Mid-Cap ETF. The rankings are evaluated daily and are selected on the basis of the underlying portfolios.
