BofA Looks To Shut 600 U.S. Offices

Bank of America Corp. is looking to close up to 600 of its branch bank offices in the U.S.

Bank of America Corp. (BofA) is looking to close up to 600 of its branch bank offices in the U.S., The Wall Street Journal reports, citing WCNC. The closing is a part of the lender’s reorganization and cost-cutting measures.

BofA will split into separate consumer and commercial divisions which will lead to the branch closings, adds The State. The bank had said in March that it may close or consolidate up to 10 percent of its 5,900 nationwide branches.
