BSE To List Nasdaq 100 Index

The Bombay Stock Exchange is seeking to list the Nasdaq 100 index.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is seeking to list the Nasdaq 100 index, Business Standard reports. The Indian bourse plans to offer options contracts of Nasdaq 100, an equity index of 100 of the largest non-financial companies weighted on the basis of their market capitalization. The BSE is expecting approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India soon for the listing.

The index sees average daily volumes of 200,000 shares in the U.S. BSE will also extend the liquidity enhancement scheme for trading in the global index. The scheme has regulatory clearance for functioning for six months from the date of its commencement.
