India sector exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed overseas have witnessed large outflows between November and August, The Hindu Business Line reports. The WisdomTree India Earnings fund, largest India ETF listed in the U.S., saw outflows of $286 million.

India ETFs listed on European exchanges, such as the Lyxor ETF India, that manages assets worth more than $1.3 billion, suffered outflows of nearly $488 million. Investors withdrew $50 million from India ETFs listed in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. This marks a departure from the trend till November, when India ETFs saw a divergence pattern in outflows and inflows across regions.
