India has given approval for a $750 million infrastructure loan to Bangladesh, Times of India reports. The money is part of a $1 billion credit line India proposed for its eastern neighbor to build ports and related infrastructure.

The relevant ministry will pay out the credit for executing about two dozen infrastructure projects under the $1 billion credit agreement signed in August 2010. Bangladesh has offered India use of the Chittagong and Mongla ports to improve bilateral and regional trade.
