Mercer has been reappointed as investment consultant at the London Borough of Waltham Forest Pension Fund, Pensions & Investments reports. Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT Group) and AllenbridgeEpic Investment Advisers were among the finalists and considered for the role. Though the £532 million fund selected JLT Group in 2009, an agreement could not be reached as JLT purchased HSBC Actuaries and Consultants. In September 2010, the fund officials planned to re-launch the search. As part of an overall investment strategy review, the pension fund committee voted to make an initial 5 percent allocation to the asset class earlier this year, adds HFMWeek.
