Providence Equity Partners has named Tao Sun as managing director and head of China investments, Reuters reports. He will join the global private equity firm in December. Tao was earlier with Actis, an emerging market equity firm, where he was a partner. He has also worked with Merrill Lynch & Co., where he managed private equity deal execution and portfolio management in China, adds The Asset.
