The National Science Foundation (NSF) is giving $2.6 million to a Michigan State University program, Houston Chronicle reports. The program will be used to test better ways to teach science to preschool children. The five-year program, called Head Start on Science, aims to improve the science knowledge of three- to five-year-olds, mainly low-income and minority children. The initiative could become a model for preschool science education nationwide.
