Macquarie Private Wealth has recruited Tom Williams and Brent Larkan as regional manager for Eastern Canada and head of syndication and public venture capital group, respectively, The Wall Street Journal reports. The duo will report to Earl Evans, CEO of the Canadian wealth unit of Macquarie Group.
Williams will focus on nine branches, while Larkan be in charge of the growing private venture and syndication business for retail clients. Previously, Williams was branch manager for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce unit CIBC Wood Gundy. Most recently, Larkan was vice president for equity capital markets and syndication at HSBC Securities in Canada.
