Cowen Group has appointed Keith Kurzner and Kyle Solomon as managing directors and co-heads of institutional options and event-driven strategies. They will be strengthening the firm’s participation in institutional options and help in setting up the Event Driven Strategies Group, which will comprise equity and options sales and trading. The New York–based duo will work under Cowen’s head of institutional derivatives Tom O’Mara. Kurzner and Solomon have been business associates for 17 years. Before joining Cowen, they were at RBC Capital Markets.
