Asean Floats $500M Infra Fund

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations has rolled out a $500 million fund to finance infrastructure projects.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) has rolled out a $500 million fund to finance infrastructure projects, TODAYonline reports. The move is a part of the goal to achieve regional economic integration by 2015.

The fund will provide loans to build roads, railways and other projects in the region. Malaysia will be the biggest contributor to the fund with $150 million, whereas Indonesia seeks to contribute $120 million.
