Coca-Cola Femsa To Pay $836M For Cimsa

Coca-Cola Femsa is purchasing Mexican bottler Grupo Cimsa.

Coca-Cola Femsa is purchasing Mexican bottler Grupo Cimsa. The Mexican bottler of Coca-Cola Co. products will pay $836.58 million in all for the acquisition. As part of the deal, Cimsa shareholders will get 75.4 million newly issued Coca-Cola Femsa shares valued at $8.98 a share in the deal. Additionally, Coca-Cola Femsa will own 13.2 percent stake in Promotora Industrial Azucarera. Profit and Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez provided financial and legal advice to Grupo Cimsa in this transaction, while Deloitte Galaz, Yamazaki, Ruiz Urquiza and Ritch Mueller advised Coca-Cola Femsa.
