Cook County PF Seeks HFoF Firms

The Cook County Retirement Board is seeking two or more hedge-fund-of-funds managers.

The Cook County Retirement Board is seeking two or more hedge-fund-of-funds (HFoF) managers, Pensions & Investments reports. The selected firms will run nearly $692 million for the County Employees’ & Officers’ Annuity & Benefit Fund and the Forest Preserve District Employees’ Annuity & Benefit Fund, both in Chicago. The board is being assisted by Callan Associates in the search process and interested candidates are required to submit their proposals by September 30. The employees and officers’ fund will allocate about $675 million to the portfolio and the forest preserve fund will contribute nearly $17 million. The employees and officers plan has $7.6 billion in assets, while the forest preserve fund has $177 million.
