Nomura Appoints U.S. Chief Economist

Nomura Holdings has appointed Lewis Alexander as managing director and U.S. chief economist.

Nomura Holdings has appointed Lewis Alexander as managing director and U.S. chief economist. Based in New York, he will head a team of five economists covering the U.S.

He will work under Jens Nordvig, head of Americas fixed income research and Paul Sheard, global chief economist. Before this, Alexander was working at the U.S. Department of Treasury as counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury.
