New Star’s former CIO Alan Miller has rolled out an advisory branch of its wealth management business SCM Private, FundWeb reports. The new unit, SCM Financial Planning, will utilize the low cost, index fund-based approach to investing that has been adopted by the wealth management operation. The new division will be led by chartered financial planner Susan Hill and will provide wealth planning with investment management advice from Miller. The discretionary business, SCM Private, was founded in 2009, adds Citywire.
