Baja Sun Energy will invest more than $500 million in solar business in Mexico.

Baja Sun Energy will invest more than $500 million in solar business in Mexico, Bloomberg reports. The company will make investment in a solar-panel factory and energy farm in Baja California that will sell power on both sides of the Mexico and U.S. border. The company plans to both manufacture solar panels and build a solar electric plant to harvest energy from those panels in the desert near Mexicali, along the U.S.-Mexico border. Baja Sun Energy anticipates employing 2,000 workers during the first phase of the project, adds KPBS.
