CME Alters Wheat Futures Contract

CME Group has modified its wheat futures contract as part of its regular and ongoing contract review process.

CME Group has modified its wheat futures contract as part of its regular and ongoing contract review process. The changes are a result of feedback from wheat futures industry participants. The modifications will go into effect in two phases. The September 2013 wheat futures contract’s modifications will include eliminating wheat containing four parts per million vomitoxin from deliverable grades. From December 1, the exchange will let the Hard Red Winter, Dark Northern Spring and Northern Spring wheat grades to be deliverable in the St Louis delivery territory.
