Aligned Asset Manager has acquired a controlling stake in Townsend Group. Financial terms of the transaction, which is scheduled to close upon receipt of customary regulatory approvals, were not disclosed.
Townsend’s current leadership team will continue to manage the business. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal counsel to Aligned, whereas the specialty real estate advisory and investment firm was legally advised by Baker & Hostetler.
