OSK-UOB Islamic Fund Management has unveiled a global food Islamic equity fund, Business Times reports. The fund is expected to reach its target size of $67.3 million by the year-end.
The product will have a Shariah-compliant equity exposure of up to 98% of its net asset value to generate returns. The fund will seek investments in Shariah-compliant equities and equity-linked securities of companies, which are involved in the food industry globally, and aims to achieve medium- to long-term capital appreciation.
