Volkswagen Group of America has committed a total of $1 million to the Martin Luther King, Jr National Memorial Project Foundation. The money will be used to support the memorial in Washington, DC. The foundation is responsible for the memorial’s construction and maintenance, adds Pittsburgh Post Gazette. The GM Foundation had given $10 million to the foundation and was among its first major supporters.
