Boston Foundation Invests In Mass

The Boston Bar Foundation has committed a total of $1.1 million to 25 Massachusetts community organizations.

The Boston Bar Foundation has committed a total of $1.1 million to 25 Massachusetts community organizations, Boston Globe reports. The foundation has awarded the grants through donations from lawyers, law firms and business people.

Commitments ranging from $5,000 to $385,000 have been made to various organizations, including the Brazilian Immigrant Center, Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts, Community Legal Services and Counseling Center and Greater Boston Legal Services. The organizations offer core legal services that include assistance to people who need legal help for domestic violence, immigration and housing issues.
