Japanese Yen ETFs Climb More

Japanese yen ETFs, including the CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust have reached a new record high.

Japanese yen ETFs, including the CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust (FXY), have reached a new record high, ETF Trends reports. FXY, which follows the yen’s movement against the U.S. dollar, has reached a new high of nearly $130 a share.

Other ETPs tracking the yen include the WisdomTree Dreyfus Japanese Yen and the iPath JPY/USD Exchange Rate ETN. Japan’s finance minister Yoshihiko Noda said the country will take measures to deal with the rising currency. The dollar reached a low of ¥75.94 on August 19, but managed to rebound to ¥76.55 later in trading.
