Petrovietnam Inks $95M Japan Banks Loan

The Vietnam oil and gas group Petrovietnam has secured a loan worth $95 million.

The Vietnam oil and gas group Petrovietnam has secured a loan worth $95 million, Reuters reports. The facility will be used to build a $1.6 billion coal-fired power plant in central Vietnam. Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) are the lenders of the facility. JBIC will provide $57 million, while SMBC will give the remaining $38 million of the loan amount.
