Vodafone To Sell £400M India Unit Stake

Vodafone Group is selling a 5.5% stake in its Indian unit to Piramal Healthcare.

Vodafone Group is selling a 5.5% stake in its Indian unit to Piramal Healthcare, The Wall Street Journal reports. The telecommunications company will receive a total of around £400 million for the sale.

Following the transaction, Vodafone’s holding in its Indian operations will come down to 69.8%. The remaining stake is owned by entities that are majority-owned and controlled by Vodafone’s other Indian partners.
