Duke Ellington School of the Arts has received a commitment worth $17.2 million.

Duke Ellington School of the Arts has received a commitment worth $17.2 million, WJLA reports. The art school obtained the money from the Annie E Casey Foundation. The Washington DC-based high school was looking to reduce staff and take drastic measures to protect the arts program. The foundation, set up in 1948 by Jim Casey, is a private charitable organization that helps disadvantaged children in the U.S.
