CalPERS’ board member Priya Mathur has been elected to the Advisory Council of the United Nations-backed Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (PRI). Appointed by PRI asset-owner signatories, Mathur is one of the two asset-owner contenders to join the council. She has represented the CalPERS Board’s local public agency members since 2003. Mathur is also the Chairwoman of the board’s Health Benefits Committee, vice chairman of the Risk Management Committee and a member of the Investment Committee.
