NYSE Euronext is acquiring Tokyo-based Metabit to provide market access products across Japan and Asia. Metabit will function as a product line within the NYSE Technologies portfolio, the technology arm of NYSE Euronext. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Metabit CEO Daniel Bürgin will head NYSE Technologies Asia operations and work under NYSE Technologies CEO Stanley Young. Managing director of NYSE Technologies Peter Tierney will serve as COO of the joint venture in Asia.
