The Bombay Stock Exchange is seeking to launch a separate stock exchange for small and medium enterprises by September.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is seeking to launch a separate stock exchange for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by September, Business Standard reports. The BSE is working with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to roll out dedicated SME stock exchanges. As per the plan, the SMEs already listed on the regular stock exchange will be able to shift to the new trading platform. The BSE has already received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India for the same. However, the regulator has made certain concessions to the proposal, such as reducing the fee and regulatory requirements.
