James Spencer is joining Lazard as managing director in the financial institutions group advisory. Based in New York, he will lead the advisory effort for banks in the team. Spencer joins advisory investment bank from UBS as managing director and head of the U.S. banks. Prior to this, he was with Credit Suisse First Boston and FDIC.
